“Louie Bluetit and his mates love to impress you with their acrobatics, hanging upside down as they jostle for peanuts. But don't be late for breakfast or this cheeky little milk thief will have helped himself from the bottles on your doorstep.”
Louie Bluetit is made from mustard yellow, acid green and blue & teal herringbone Harris tweed. He has a beady little black resin button eye. The details of his face have been needle felted from natural merino fibres. He is appliquéd onto a lantern that has been covered with cream and green leaf print Batik fabric. My batik fabric comes from Hoffman Batiks, who are a 90 year old Californian, family run firm. All of their batik is hand printed in Bali.
The lantern measures 12cm high with a diameter of 10cm.
This lantern is suitable for use with battery powered tea lights or filled with a string of fairy lights. Do not use with candles as the fabric is not flame retardant.
